Technical Support Anywhere In The World

I used to have to carry my computer's tower/ hard drive to the repair shop that I use for my PC. As I'm a senior citizen, this was not easy to do, plus it tied my computer up for several days before a technician was able to get to it. After the problem was fixed, I'd have to cart it home and hopefully re- connect the correct wires and cords. About a year ago, the company started remote support and I LOVE IT! By using PC Remote Access, the technician is now able to start trouble shooting with my original phone call. Not only is it cost effective, it's very time efficient. The first time I saw the technician move the cursor on my monitor without my hand on the mouse, I was totally mesmerized. This way of getting technical support really impressed me.

Having seen remote support on an individual basis, I would use a computer support system with remote access to help the bottom line of the budget and keep productivity high if I were a business owner. Proxynetworks.com is a professional provider of remote desktop software for "help desk" technicians and administrators to trouble shoot, access files or collaborate with a work team. The software offers secure technical assistance for businesses, utilizing remote access, remote control and remote management. One computer can access another through the Internet and the program has the ability to reach computers even when they're not in use, set varied encryption key strength (currently at a high 256 bit encryption), store details of related activities and more. The program capabilities should make the Proxy Pro 7 a mandatory system that no business should be without. With the amount of travel many companies are doing, computer down-time is not an option for a successful business and this software is definitely the step that should be taken to guarantee that.

Help Keep Your Family Financially Secure

The happiness and financial security of your family is probably the most important thing for you because you'll never know when something unexpected will come along (that's way it's called "unexpected") and leave your family financially devastated. You try to do the best you can and hopefully you have the right accident cover. Many people around the world die from accidents everyday. It's sad for those left behind if there's no insurance protection to keep loved ones financially solvent.

How many people think about having something set aside to pay the cost of a funeral? Most people are not even aware that there's funeral cover. Usually this benefit is tax-free to the beneficiaries. The cost of funerals has risen drastically in the past few years and you want to have the best that you can for your loved one. From the flowers and casket to the burial plot, you don't want to have to scrimp or take out a sizable loan to cover costs.

Unexpected events can also put the family's income in jeopardy. Guardian income insurance will help give you the financial protection your family needs by paying up to 75% of your monthly pre-tax income (to a maximum of $10,000/mo). It's a good move to check into income protection insurance before you need it.

Eye Can't See You: My Glasses Are Broken Again!

I was very young when I started wearing glasses and there were very few frame styles available. Most of them were geared towards adults not children and the few that were for young people were not attractive. As a youngster, broken frames were always a problem for my parents. The roughest outdoor sport I ever did was ride a bike but those darn frames kept breaking.

My parents didn't have lots of money so replacements made an unexpected dent in their budget. Once again, the economy is experiencing tough economic times, so it's good to know that there's a web site that has quality eyeglasses for everyone. You'll find exactly what you're looking for with prices to meet everyone's budget. Single vision, bi-focal, sunglasses (with various color tints), polycarbonate lenses, frames and more are very affordable and stylish. Frames are made from top quality materials including titanium, plastic or acetate and aluminum alloy.

Opticians are hesitant to give eye exams and prescriptions to patients who order their glasses online. They especially don't like giving the pupillary distance (PD) which is the distance between the pupils of the eyes and is vital to a successful fit of the glasses. Patients have to fight to get this and some opticians try to hide or disguise the number. What a sad state of affairs when a licensed doctor would do that to a patient who is trying to get the best vision they can at an affordable price.

Mesothelioma and Asbestos

Asbestos, named by the ancient Greeks, was found to damage the lungs of slaves. Some archaeologists believe that ancients made shrouds to wrap bodies in before being placed on funeral pyres. The asbestos also helped preserve the ashes. They also made wicks of asbestos for tombs and lamps. Asbestos became popular with manufacturers and builders in the late 19th century. It was used in some products for it's heat resistant qualities.

In June 1997, Paul Kraus heard the dreaded word mesothelioma, a form of cancer associated with work involving asbestos. Cancer in any form is very scary word and is usually a death sentence. Paul was given only a few months to live but Paul decided to fight back. He did extensive and knew he did not want chemotherapy, surgery or radiation, Paul learned about alternative treatments and worked with his doctors to come up with a regimen to heal him. Twelve years later, he's still surviving. Wanting to pass his knowledge to others, Paul wrote "Surviving Mesothelioma and Other Cancers: A Patient's Guide". His book is currently the best selling mesothelioma book in the world. To help others rally against their mesothelioma cancer diagnosis, a free copy of Paul Kraus's book is available. Paul encourages people not to ignore medical advice and treatment but to look at all options. Surviving mesothelioma IS POSSIBLE!

How To Get The Nutrients You May Be Missing

As hard as most of us try, it can often be difficult to get all of the nutrients we need in our diets and without the proper nutrients, we are prone to a number of health problems. We’re all guilty of it: instead of cooking a healthy meal after a long day at work, we pick up some take-out on the way home. This is fine, if you only do it once in a while. But if this is something that is a lot more common for you than eating healthy, you need to take steps to make sure that you get all of the nutrients you need. So, how can you get these nutrients? By using dietary supplements.

What Dietary Supplements Can Do for You

Although dietary supplements are really a 20th century thing, the ingredients used to make them have been used by people for thousands of years, in order to stay healthy and even treat illnesses. In fact, some of those treatments are the basis for much of today’s medicines. There are a number of uses for dietary supplements, including:

* To treat diseases and other illnesses
* To prevent illnesses
* To aid in weight loss
* To aid in weight gain

Many physicians recommend that their patients use dietary supplements if they have certain health issues, such as an inability to eat, meaning they are not getting the proper nutrients. Some doctors recommend dietary supplements to patients who are very obese, as a means of kick starting their weight loss.

The Down Side to Dietary Supplements

Not all dietary supplements are safe, and in some cases, may even be dangerous. It is really important to discuss any dietary changes, including the addition of supplements, with your physician. He or she will be able to help you choose which one is best for you, based on your medical history and lifestyle. Some of the negative effects of dietary supplements include:

* Allergic reactions
* Interaction with prescription medication
* Poor manufacturing of supplements can lead to a number of health issues

Dietary supplements have their good and their bad features but for most people who use them, they are the best way for them to get all of the vitamins and nutrients they need to be healthy and happy, not to mention maintain a healthy weight and look terrific. There are many different types of dietary supplements and the one you choose will depend on your dietary needs.

How To Do Decline Dumbbell Triceps Extension

This isolation exercise helps build strength as you target your triceps when you push the dumbbell from a decline position. Make sure that your decline bench is secure and have no moving parts when you do this exercise.

Begin with your regular stretches and warm-ups. Get a pair of weights that can give you a challenging workout without causing too much strain. Do not use more than you can carry as you are in a declined position and this can make lifting the weights difficult. Sit on the bench and secure your legs at the end by placing your feet below the foot pads. Place the weights on each leg as you slowly lie down on the bench. Your head and back must be in a straight position and you shoulders held back. Lift the dumbbells to shoulder level with your palms rotated inwards facing each other. Extend your arms fully in front of you at shoulder level. Keep this as your starting position.

Inhale as you fold your elbows to bring down your dumbbells slowly. Keep your upper arms stationary and your muscles tense in this movement. Slightly fan you arms to prevent the dumbbells form hitting your head. Stop when the dumbbells are at ear level.

Exhale as you use your triceps to push the dumbbells back to starting position. Do not roll your shoulders forward and keep your forearms stationary. Repeat with the number of recommended reps and sets. You can use an e-z bar or barbell for this exercise if you do not have dumbbells.

Laptop Accessories For The Traveler

In the last three years, I've traveled quite a bit internationally and have seen laptops get really abused and misused going through security checkpoints. Travelers are asked to take their computers out of their carry-on luggage and out of their computer bags/covers. After that, the laptop is fair game to be picked up, bumped, tossed down hard and hopefully make it to the other side of the screening process in one piece. In the rush to get all their belongings (shoes, keys, coins, belts, coats, purses and more) the poor laptop owner often rams it back into the laptop bag with little regard for it's protection. The worst airport for carry-on luggage/laptop abuse I've seen is the airport in Rome, Italy whereas Amsterdam security treats personal property more kindly.

A laptop sleeve gives protection when the computer is taken out for inspection and would help soften some of the blows the laptop is subjected to before it's safe return, nestled in it's bag. The laptop sleeve gives protection while it's being used on the airplane too. Many times I've seen computers left on the seat while the passenger steps to the back of the plane and someone else gets out of the same row and the computer gets bumped against the armrest. The sleeves fit snugly, come in a large selection of sizes, are lightweight and very affordable. Protection from liquid spills (haven't been on a fight yet that hasn't experienced some turbulence) is also very important.

On of the best laptop accessories for a traveler is a set of headphones. With a large selection of brands and prices from an entry level set to a Bose system, there is a set to meet everyone needs. Headphones, earbuds (some are made of gel), with wire or wireless, clip-ons and noise-cancelling-in-ear sets , help the user block out outside noises whether in an airplane or in a terminal. It also keeps others from hearing what the user is doing.

Backpacks and cases also come is a wide range or sizes, brands and price. An unusual backpack is the Built NY Laptop Backpack Med-Olive - E-BPM-OLV which looks like a vest and is worn snugly against the body. International adapters and power surge protection is vital while traveling as many foreign counties wire electricity differently than the U.S. and it's easy to "fry" a laptop if caution is not taken. Before taking a trip, a little planning for a laptop goes a long way to ensure the safety of a computer.

It's That Time of Year Again !!!!!!

'Tho small in size, mosquitoes have been around for millions of years. They use chemical, visual and heat sensors to locate their prey. Chemical sensors detect carbon dioxide and lactic acid from 100 feet away. and chemicals in sweat can also trigger their sensors. Their visual sensors aren't very keen, but they can see you moving if you're wearing clothes that contrast with the background. They use their heat sensors to detect warm-blooded mammals and birds in their vicinity.

Mosquitoes go through 4 stages in their life cycle: egg, larva, pupa and adult. The first 3 stages are aquatic and last 5-14 days. All mosquitoes must have water in which to complete their life cycle.

Visible, irritating bites are due to the immune response from the binding of antibodies to antigens in the mosquito's saliva. Anti-itch medicines are usually orally or topically applied. Many home remedies/recipes exist including vinegar and toothpaste. Also rubbing clear nail polish or deodorant on the bite will stop the itching most of the time.

Top Mosquito Facts :

  • Many diseases are caused by mosquito bites: malaria, yellow fever, encephalitis and dengue fever
  • Only female mosquitoes bite
  • Treat mosquito bite by washing with soap and water
  • 3 basic things to do to repel mosquitoes: wear clothing that covers most of the body; use a mosquito repellant and eliminate sources of standing water

For more information on mosquitoes contact American Mosquito Control Association .

I Love That New Car Smell

Now that school's over and summer is here, it's time to start thinking about where you want to go and what you want to do in the next couple of months. One way to get started would be to look at a Toyota Yaris price. It's the most affordable in the Toyota line and comes as a 3 door hatchback or a 4 door sedan. Both models have a fabulous 106 horsepower engine with either 5 speed manual or 4 speed automatic transmission. It's great steering will get you into tight places easily. The hatchbacks offer keyless entry, power windows and more.

The Toyota Camry price will get you a comfortable, more spacious sedan. Options like a navigation system, heated seats and "smart" key system have been added. In the past few years, the interior has been upgraded and stronger horsepower has been added to the engine. Side airbags have also been introduced on some models as well as stability control. For the 2010 model, fuel economy is better due to a new 6 speed automatic transmission.

If you're looking for a Honda, you're choices are almost limitless for 2010. Whether you're looking at the Accord coupe or sedan, you'll be pleased. The Civic and the Civic Hybrid will both delight you. Whatever your price range is., you'll find a vehicle to meet all your needs. If you're looking for SUV's, trucks or vans you'll be able to select from different colors and interiors. The Nissa Leaf price won't drain your bank account. The 5 door hatchback is one of two pure electric cars offered in the United States for 2011. The wheels are powered with one or more electric motors rather than mechanical drive from the engine torque. It's cost is comparable to gasoline cars of the same size.

    Nelson Mandela "Our Deepest Fear"

    fear for nelson mandela

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you NOT to be?

You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people
    won't feel insecure around you.

We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
As we let our own Light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
    Our presence automatically liberates others.

    Nelson Mandela

    OH NO!!!!!

Now is not the time to wonder if your insurance policy has motorbike insurance compensation. It's too late once you've had the accident. You want a company that will serve you well. Several states require helmets for the motorcycle driver and their passengers so there will be fewer injury claims and fatalities. Several states have laws covering only the riders and 3 states have no helmet laws at all. Many states with motorcycle helmet laws are repealing them.

NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration), reports that 65% of motorbike injury claims and fatally injured riders in 2006 were not wearing helmets compared to 13% in states that have rider helmet laws. The largest increase in motorcycle fatalities from 2006-2008 was in the age group 50 and above. The group still having the largest percent of fatal crashes was in the 20-29 year age range. 27% of those who died in vehicle accidents with a blood alcohol level of .08 or more were on motorcycles.

    I Love The Summertime

Plain and simple: I love flowers. I recently got back from a week in Hawaii and flowers were everywhere. The flowers that we pay lots of money for in the states grow like weeds there. My favorite flower is the orchid and I found them everywhere. Growing by the roadsides, the orchids grew in fantastic colors. The residents think of them as weeds and are constantly trying to get rid of them as some varieties can choke out other forms of vegetation. After I got home and re-checked the price of orchids, I started to think about possibly getting an arbor and trying to grow my own flowers. The variety of designs in arbors is fabulous with many styles and designs to choose from.

When I was driving the other day, I passed a house that had a tire swing hanging from a large, gnarled apple tree. It made me think back to the days when I was little and we visited my grandparents. They didn't have a tire swing but they had the most fabulous wooden arbors. My sister and I would play around them for hours at a time and wave to the engineers on the trains that passed not far from her house. The garden arbors were wrapped in grape vines and my grandmother made jams and jellies from the grapes. The only time we didn't play there was when the grape vines were in bloom as the flowers attracted hundreds of bees and hornets.

    What is Sun Salutation?

In most yoga disciplines, one of the main series of stretches is the Sun Salutation. This is a series of 12 postures that one performs in one single, fluid movement. It's actually very beautiful to watch, because the movements of the yoga practitioners are so fluid and trained; it's almost like watching a lovely, winding river flowing along. Sun Salutation may be done slowly, or some people really want to get the most physical benefits from the exercises, so they do what is known as power yoga, and perform the postures quickly.

    Breathe as You Move

Each movement goes along with the yoga practitioner's breathing. One posture is done while the person is breathing in, the next movement done on the exhale. Sun Salutation begins and ends with the same posture, beginning on an inhale and ending on an exhale. This sometimes can take a while to learn how to do properly, especially if you tend to get out of breath easily. Be patient, and in time you will be doing the postures with the proper breathing and getting the full benefits of yoga.

The 12 Postures of Sun Salutation

When you do the Sun Salutation, you are performing stretches that will utilize every joint and muscle in your body, for a total body workout. In fact, a one-hour yoga workout is just as beneficial as a one-hour aerobic workout, without all of the jumping and running that can cause injuries, especially to the hips, knees and ankles. Each of the 12 yoga postures stretches different groups of muscles, and the combination makes for an awesome workout. The 12 yoga postures for Sun Salutation are:
    -- Mountain
    -- Hands Up
    -- Head to Knees
    -- Lunge
    -- Plank
    -- Stick
    -- Upward Facing Dog
    -- Downward Facing Dog
    -- Lunge
    -- Head to Knees
    -- Hands Up
    -- Mountain

When you practice Sun Salutation regularly, you will find that it gets easier and easier to do, and the breathing techniques will be just like second nature. As you improve your flexibility, muscle tone and lung capacity, hold the positions longer, while still practicing the breathing techniques, with longer and deeper breaths. You'll be getting into great shape in no time, looking and feeling better every day.

Yoga is a fun and relaxing form of exercise that has been practiced by millions of people all over the world for thousands of years. It is a great way to learn how to relax and sleep better, and to get into great shape, with improved flexibility and muscle tone. One of the first things you will learn in a yoga class is Sun Salutation, the foundation to any yoga workout.

    Horror Movies

Thanks to my buddy John Granger for the guest blog post.

You know, not many movies strike fear into the hearts as much as the remake of George Romero's Night Of The Living Dead. I never thought that they could recreate it so perfectly as they did. I was really surprised to find that my brother recorded it on the DVR to watch on my cable tv. Technology and special effects were top notch in this remake, due to the help of Tom Savini. He actually was the make up and special effects coordinator for the original, which came out all the way back in the 1960's. I definitely do not suggest that you watch this movie with your little ones, because ther is a ton of gore throughout the film.

Horror movie enthusiasts have to check this one out if they haven't done so already. I get so sick of the way that horror movie remakes have been done lately, but this one really stands out as different. There is just something about being confined in a single space that gives the audience a sense of being trapped as well. There were enough changes to the original format of the film to keep your interest throughout its duration. If Hollywood was smart, they would do many more remakes just like this one. Maybe if Tom Savini did the makeup, they would be scary as well.

I Finally Get To The Getty

If you're a fan of incredible architecture or just tire of driving down the 405 and looking up at that little white tram heading up the side of the mountain and wondering why not you. Well here's your chance to join the people in the know. After countless excuses of why I haven't been. I finally decided to use an off day with absolutely nothing planned an very little money to spare,to visit the Getty Museum. It took me 2 minutes on the computer to prep myself, location, cost and exit to get off at and about 15 minutes to get my travel food together, sandwiches, snickers and a ice chest full of ice, water and gatorade. I grabbed my camera and keys, set the alarm systems for the home and was off. Going during the middle of the week I found less traffic getting there.

First tip of the day: wear comfortable shoes, there is a bit of walking too do but with all there is to see I don't think you'll notice. At least not until the end of the day. They have these head phones that you can rent, that will narrate the exibits marked with a special icom. It's sort of like getting a guided tour. Now when I drive the 405 and look up at the Getty, it's a share memory. That was a great day.

This guest posting compliments of Gerson Hamrick.
